Lactation for Doulas 

As you begin your doula work, you will want to have the Basics in Lactation. Doulas have a unique insight into what nursing is like in the beginning and over the early weeks. A solid foundation of how things work will help you feel more confident.

During this live, online 3 hour, 45 minute class we will cover a number of topics, including:

• Anatomy and Physiology
• Nursing Basics
• Barriers to Lactation
• Parent's Role and Baby's Role in Feeding
• Phases of Feeding
• First Hour Aftter Birth
• Feeding in the First Few Days
• Feeding in the First Few Weeks
• Common Challenges

Upon completing the class you will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

This class meets the requirements for DONA International Certification for both birth and postpartum doulas.

COST:

• This class is included in your workshop fee
• You choose the date that works for you
• $70 if not a doula workshop student with me
